“Born and raised in Los Angeles, Toomer is no stranger to the media, law enforcements, nor the walls of Los Angeles. He’s a true graffiti artist and has nothing to hide.”
Vimby.com said that lately about Toomer aka TLoko from Los Angeles, California. Its not new that Tloks is one of our biggest supporter on the US westcoast and seriously one of the most characteristic and profilic graffiti writer from Los Angeles. With his latest trip to Europe we thought it would be a great opportunity to do an interview with him. He’s been doing graffiti in Los Angeles for 20, going on 25 years. Toomer is very passionate and dedicated to all what he do, he shares details about the Black Cross, the TLoko Stencil Bears, Europe, the TKO Crew, gangs, the californian Law and his thoughts on the graffiti culture. See the full Toomer interview (done in Germany) in the second part of this episode with footage from Los Angeles and Europe.
In the first part of this episode we introduce Toomer slowly and show a little part of his trip to Europe including the Monkey Island Wall in Bratislava/Slovakia (photos here), a little steel action, a shop visit and the final stop at the Molotow Headquarter Germany. He has been to Europe in July 2009 and painted a few productions with the Molotow and Friends Kacao77 from Berlin, Take2 from Melbourne and Soten from Copenhagen.
